Beginner
New to horses, or still finding your balance. Lead-rein rides for the little ones.

What our riders get up to
Riding lessons
Walk, trot and canter, steering and position, building up at each rider's own pace on calm, well-loved horses.
Jumping and games
Poles, small jumps, barrels and riding games, the fun way to build a secure seat and quick reactions.
Outrides
Once riders are ready, we head out along the quiet farm roads of Kameeldrift.
Learning to care for horses
Grooming, washing, picking out hooves and leading: our riders learn to look after a horse, not just ride one.
Small, personal and fun
Every rider is known by name, and every horse too. Come for a lesson and see for yourself.
Life at the yard
What to wear
- A riding helmet is compulsory for every ride
- Long pants: jodhpurs, leggings or comfortable jeans
- Closed shoes or boots with a small heel (no sandals)
- Sunscreen and a water bottle
